The new year is already a few days old, but we at Marine- und Automatisierungstechnik Rostock GmbH would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers, suppliers and partners once again for the trust you have placed in us, your loyalty and the good cooperation over the past year. We wish you all the best for 2021 - both for your business and, of course, for your personal goals.
2020 was a year of extraordinary challenges.
It was the first year under the leadership of the new managing directors Roman König, Kristian Richter and Michael Schmidt. In addition to the hurdles that had to be overcome due to the pandemic, there was also a need for MAR many, often new, tasks to master. But success is usually only possible through teamwork. This is why we were able to end 2020 on a positive note, for which we would like to thank our employees first and foremost. And that MAR-Our team has even grown in the meantime: We were able to hire 5 new employees at the turn of the year.
We are therefore looking forward to the new year with confidence and are already looking forward to every single project. We have already acquired prestigious new customers for our specialised industrial software division. We will also be realising exciting automation projects in the coming months. We will be advising our customers on the topic of digitalisation in our newly established business area and helping them make great strides forward. And in the offshore sector, we also have many exciting assignments on converter platforms in the pipeline, including maintenance contracts.
As a competence centre for automation and digitalisation/software in the SEAR Group, we will be at your side in partnership as usual. It goes without saying that we will remain true to our motto in 2021:
